In the Name of God Amen
I Robert Birtwistle of Great Harwood in the County of Lancaster Yeoman being aged and infirm of body but of a sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say First it is my will and mind and I do hereby order and direct that all my just debts funeral expenses and the charges of the Probate of the my Will shall in the first place be paid off satisfied and discharged Whereas I am now seized to me and my Heirs of and in several closes Closures or Parcels of Ground situate lying and being in Great Harwood aforesaid and lately purchased by me from Alexander Nowell late of Read Hall in the said County Esquire deceased Now it is my Will and mind and I do hereby Give and Devise the same unto my Son in Law John Mercer of Great Harwood aforesaid Yeoman his heirs and assigns for ever And as for and concerning all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate both real and personal I Give devise and Bequeath the same unto the said John Mercer his heirs Executors administrators and assigns And Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint him the said John Mercer sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Will or Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Robert Birtwistle the Testator have hereunto Set my hand and seal the Eighth day of July in the fifteenth year of the reign of his Majesty King George the Third and in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and seventy five
