Dean Clough
Dean Clough is perhaps the most beautiful, and unexpected area of Great Harwood – an area many local people came to appreciate anew, or for the first time, during the travel restrictions of 2020 pandemic.
Lying on the town’s northern edge, where Great Harwood meets Billington, Dean Clough has a history stretching back at least to medieval times. This page will gradually grow to include articles on the farms that once stood here, and those still working today; for now, it begins with a walk across Dean Clough on a bright May day.
